Medical acupuncture is an evidence-informed treatment approach used by trained registered massage therapists to support pain reduction, tissue healing, and neuromuscular function. At Kinective Health & Performance, select massage therapists have completed Contemporary Medical Acupuncture training through the McMaster University Certificate Program.
Also referred to as neurofunctional or electro-acupuncture, this approach uses fine, single-use needles applied to specific soft-tissue and muscular targets. Medical acupuncture is an optional component of care and is only provided with informed consent following discussion of assessment findings and recommended treatment options.
-
Prenatal massage is provided with a focus on comfort, safety, and individual needs during pregnancy. Treatment may help manage pregnancy-related discomfort, reduce muscle tension, and improve circulation.
