FREDERIC DUMUNIER

Osteopath

Frederic is a licensed Osteopath in the Province of Ontario. He is passionate about his quest to understand the human body and its workings, and how osteopathic treatments can influence this complex interactive system. So much so, that he received an Honourable Mention for his graduation thesis: “Measure of the effects of osteopathy follow-up on the autonomic nervous system with the Heart Rate Variability.”

Frederic has volunteered as an osteopath in many sporting events, including the French Championship Athletics and Endurance Motoring. His adventurous spirit sent him to Morocco as part of the medical team for the rally race “Raid Passion Désert.” Additionally, he is the co-founder and C.E.O. of Osteopathy for Haiti, a non-for-profit organization, which aims to promote and teach osteopathy in hospitals.

Frederic uses a wide range of osteopathic techniques. This allows him to individualize patient’s needs and allows him to find the origin of the problem, in order to encourage the body’s healing mechanisms. He works on visceral, musculoskeletal, and cranial systems with patients of all ages, from newborn babies to the elderly, as well as athletes and pregnant women.

Frederic offers his patients a holistic approach, in collaboration with other therapists, to encourage overall health and wellness. He is currently working in several clinic locations as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner in Toronto.
